Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. was the director of a company that operates an Internet-based networking network. In the context of a Catholic home, she was brought up in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Because of this, her parents were enrolled in the Convent of the Sacred Heart an eminent religious school. Music was her passion since childhood. She began playing the piano when she was just a little girl. At thirteen, she composed her first tune. She was a part of open-mic night. She was a fan of Queen Michael Jackson, Madonna, and David Bowie. When she graduated from high school she entered the New York University's Tisch School of Art to pursue a degree in music. But after completing high school, she entered The Tisch School of Fine Arts at the New York University to pursue a degree in music.
